Sprowston Community High is a comprehensive school which is committed to serving the community of Sprowston and the surrounding areas north of the city.

Believing totally in the comprehensive principle, we aim to promote the best possible education for all the young people in this community so that they develop their skills, aptitudes and talents to the full and into adult life.

To achieve this, we start from the assumption that fulfilment comes from a sense of personal achievement. We aim to provide a varied and forward looking curriculum within a caring environment. we believe that if children feel they are respected and valued as individuals they are more likely to subscribe to our values and to accept the expectations we have of them. These can be summed up as a real commitment to developing personal achievement and a consideration for the needs and feelings of others.

I hope that this website give you a full flavour of life at the school. However, no website can convey fully the real sense of community and commitment which is implicit in our philosophy.
