PROCEDURES FOR STUDENTS WHO HAVE FORGOTTEN KIT

Students are expected to bring PE kit to every lesson.

Students who fail to bring the correct PE kit will, in the first instance, be spoken to by their teacher and provided with school kit to wear for the lesson.

PROCEDURES FOR STUDENTS WHO ARE EXCUSED FROM PE

If a student is unfit to participate in a PE lesson they are still expected to bring and change into PE kit.

Staff should use their discretion when situations arise where a student is unable to change into PE kit. This could include students with broken bones etc.

If a student is unable to participate, staff should consider whether  it is appropriate for the student to coach/officiate in outdoors lessons. If the weather is inclement, arrangements should be made within the department for the student to go to an indoor PE lesson instead.

JEWELLERY AND PE

All jewellery  must  be removed for PE. If a student has newly pierced ears (i.e. 6 weeks or less) then earrings must be covered completely.

If a student refuses to remove or cover his/her earrings then he/she will not be allowed to participate in sporting activities and should be sent to Faculty Referral point.
