Year 10 News Update

Congratulations to Jaybe Diamond who was star of the week.
Also to Nikki Mouncer who was awarded the English Faculty 'Student of the week' award.
A number of students have had their mini-sagas published. We are waiting for the books to come out and will make a fuss about them when the books appear.
Uniform
Uniform has been fabulous in year 10. The majority of students look amazing and very 'business-like'. Just a quick reminder that nail varnish and unnatural coloured hair is not acceptable. We also want to thank those parents that have not allowed their children to have facial or other piercings. These are clearly against school rules and our focus for the next two years is on academic achievement and not fashion. Arguments over piercings have not been helpful and have detracted from the important messages about achievement and fulfilment.
Lates
A number of Year 10 students have been arriving late at school. We are issuing immediate lunchtime detentions to make sure that bad habits are not formed.
Charity Focus
Please save any shoeboxes you may have at home. Our charity focus this term is 'Operation Christmas Child'
We are hoping to fill three shoeboxes per form and make 36 children in less fortunate circumstances very happy this Christmas
Please take a look at their website Operation Christmas Child to see if you can help. We are looking for objects to put in the boxes.
