Youth Parliament

In Norfolk, 9 young people will be democratically elected to become Members of the UK Youth Parliament. There are 6 candidates standing for election in this constituency, Norwich North, 3 from SCHS and 3 from Hellesdon High School, they are listed as follows:
- Ryan Bedwell-Woods (Sprowston Community High School)
- Billie Bell (Sprowston Community High School)
- Calum Hardy (Sprowston Community High School)
- Gemma Hawes (Hellesdon High School)
- Alicia Marshall Nichols (Hellesdon High School)
- Rebekah Dunning (Hellesdon High School)
Members of the UK Youth Parliament consider issues that are relevant to young people in the UK and consider changes that can be made to improve the lives of young people.
In the week beginning 20 February the candidates personal statements will be available for you to read, you will need to make time to read these carefully so you make the right choice for your vote.
Voting will take place on Thursday 1 March in WS11. Any student wishing to cast their vote can come to WS11 from 8am to the start of morning registration, during break, over lunchtime and from the end of school to 4.00pm.
The voting method we will be using is First-Past-The-Post this means you will be allowed to vote for one candidate only.
