Year 9 - Moving Up Key Stages
Tuesday, 11 May 2010 12:18
In recent assemblies we, as a Year group, are concentrating on what is needed this term to finish the key stage but also looking ahead to the skills needed to be successful at GCSE.
All Year 9 students will sit ‘end of Key Stage 3’ formal tests in Maths and Science. This will enable us to assess the progress made over the key stage but also look ahead to set groups and targets at GCSE. It is vital that Year 9 use lessons and homework time to complete good revision to cement in their minds their learning over the last 3 years.
In Citizenship and ICT lessons all Year 9’s have started the GCSE course early to allow students to achieve their best possible grades especially in coursework. Please speak to your child about the work in these lessons.
