Collapsed Curriculum Day – 10th March 2011
Thursday, 10 March 2011 00:00

At Sprowston Community High School we are committed to widening students’ learning experience through enrichment activities and Collapsed Curriculum Days. These days offer students the opportunity to work in different ways from their normal curriculum and to develop new skills such as working in a team and problem solving. The Spring Term Collapsed Curriculum Days have been led by Year Teams and have focused on a range of personal development activities.
Year 7 have explored a variety of aspects of personal safety and have worked with a range of local service providers to further their understanding of personal safety. Year 7 participated in workshops such as cyber bulling and road safety as well as engaging in discussions about safety with the Police Community workers. Using the knowledge they gained on personal safety, Year 7 then used their enterprise skills to design a board game based on personal safety.
