Hairdressing Students Success at the John Oliver Trainee Awards 2011

Hairdressing students Ashleigh Sturman, Olivia Kelly and Lydia Cooper attended the John Oliver trainee awards 2011 at Taverham High School as part of their hairdressing course.

They were competing along side other trainee hairdressers to design a particular look for a model. This involved developing and completing hair, make up, outfit and dance routine, their work was then shown and judged by professional hairdressers.

A lot of effort was put into the show with the girls working from 10 in the morning until 7 in the evening.  All the hard work paid off however because they all successfully won their categories.  Congratulations to all the winners: Lydia Cooper won the 'Posh n Fake' category, Olivia Kelly won the 1940’s category and Ashleigh Sturman won the ‘Tribal/St Trinians’ category.

There are a collection of images of the winners and Lydia Cooper has written an account of her experiences at the awards, which can be accessed here
