Safer Internet Day 7 February 2012

Safer Internet Day (SID) is organised by Insafe each year in February to promote safer and more responsible use of online technology and mobile phones, especially amongst children and young people across the world.

On Safer Internet Day, Tuesday 7 February, CEOP (Child Exploitation and Online Protection) are broadcasting the ‘The Parents’ and Carers’ Guide to the Internet’; an entertaining, light-hearted look at what it takes to be an online parent.  It will be available from 7am on thinkuknow.co.uk/parents and youtube.com/ceop.  With interviews from experts including Dr Tanya Byron and Dr Linda Papadopoulos, industry players like Facebook and Moshi Monsters and, most importantly, children themselves this TV-style show aims to answer all of the tricky questions parents may be afraid to ask.

Also the CEOP team will be taking questions from parents between 18:00 - 21:00 via our social media platforms.  Join the conversation at #parentsguide or respond to them on Facebook - facebook.com/clickceop.
