School Uniform in the Summer Term
Monday, 29 March 2010 09:14
As we begin to see more of the sun, I would like this opportunity to remind students of our expectations on uniform:
• All skirts must be at least knee length. Girls wearing skirts which are considered to be too short will be issued with one warning. If they persist in wearing the skirt we will ask them to either wear a borrowed skirt or return home to change into clothing which is more appropriate for a school setting.
• Trousers must be full length, tailored trousers and cannot be cut-offs, shorts or other styled fashion trousers.
• Black shoes must be worn that are suitable for a busy school environment. For health and safety reasons, sandals and back-less shoes are inappropriate and, again, we will ask students to borrow school plimsolls should they persist in wearing such shoes.
It is important to stress that we are keen to work with parents to get uniform right and it is for this reason that we are sending this reminder out before Easter, when you may be considering replenishing items of uniform.
We are very proud of the school and feel that a commitment to a smart personal image and dress code is an important part of having high expectations for learning and achievement.
I would like to thank you for your on-going support with this matter.
