So now is the time to start thinking about what you're going to do once you've left school.

With youth unemployment rising this year, it is key that you get all the help and advice you need to help you make a decision on your next steps.

You can keep on learning by going onto college or sixth form - known as Further Education (FE), study part-time through work-based learning, for example, an apprenticeship or into full-time employment.

If you're not sure what you exactly want to do, then it is important to remember that you can apply for more than one thing and decide later on in the year which one you actually want to do.

Maths, English and Science at grade C and above are very important in any path you decide to take. FE providers, employers and training providers often ask for these as part of the offer and in certain areas, can be the difference if there is only one place available, in terms of the selection process.
