St Paul's Cathedral, London ... part 2 ...

St Paul's is the great masterpiece of Sir Christopher Wren. It was completed in 1708 and has many similarities with St. Peter's in Rome, notably in its enormous ornate dome. I climbed the dome up the 257 steps from the Cathedral floor to the Whispering Gallery, where a whisper spoken against the wall can be heard 32 metres away on the other side - why don't you ask your Science teacher how this happens?
Above the Whispering Gallery, after another 119 steps on the outside of the dome, is the Stone Gallery with panoramic views across London ... I was able to see the Millennium Bridge, Tate Modern, Houses of Parliament, London Eye, Telecom Tower, The "Gherkin", Canary Wharf, Tower Bridge, HMS Belfast and Shakespeare's Globe Theatre!
