On Monday 12 November we celebrated our first Collapsed Curriculum Day of the year which was thoroughly enjoyed by all.

Over the years that the World Cup has been running, there has often been a World Cup poster to promote the event – Sprowston community High School gave its students and pupils from partner schools their own chance to design a football themed poster, for either this year’s World Cup or an imaginary future tournament in a host country of their choice. As part of their BTEC Art & Design brief for their unit on 'Cafe Culture', Year 10 students have created some amazingly, inventive sculptures. All of them meet the brief exceedingly well and all of them take different forms as their starting point to produce something unique.

Big thanks to Ms Thurlow for organising the Year 10 Leisure & Tourism trip down to London. Once again thanks to Mrs Cunningham for also supporting the group on the trip. The main aspect of the trip was to see Madame Tussauds in action and how it worked as a thriving tourist attraction!

The 9th, 10th & 11th December 2009 saw the Sprowston Community High School Christmas Play. Hundreds of local people kick started the festive season by joining us for this huge Christmas extravaganza of song, dance and drama. Thanks to Mark Cotter for the photos.
