New Bus Queue - Important Guidance

As some of you may be aware we now have a new contract for our main bus service.

Whereas previously this was operated by Anglian buses with two double decker buses, the service now runs with three well presented coaches. This is an improvement in many ways particularly as it means all students have a seat with a seatbelt and are not being forced to share seats. The quality of the coaches is also a massive improvement.

As with any change it is not without its issues. As the new coaches have to services Hellesdon school prior to coming to us they do not arrive until 15.25. This means that the coaches will be making their way around to the back of the school as a lot of students are trying to leave. The coaches are not allowed to pick up from the front of the school and so it is unavoidable that they will have to make slow progress to the rear and then park.

• It is very important that all students understand the following :
• Students who travel on the school bus must queue on the paved area beside the music rooms;
• The buses will arrive between 15.25 and 15.35;
• The buses will not allow students to board at the front of the school;
• All students must queue at the rear of the school;
• Students will remain in their queues while the buses arrive and park;
• Students will then be allowed to queue beside the bus and board;
• Each student will need to have their bus pass available to show the driver.
