Year 7 and 9 Students Celebrate Black History Month

Year 7 and Year 9 Students Celebrate Black History Month with the Grassroots Theatre Company. On Thursday 15th October the popular Grass Roots Theatre Company from Zimbabwe came to our school to give two special performances as part of the Arts cross-curricular Programme and to celebrate Black History Month.

Year 7 students enjoyed an uplifting music and dance performance which celebrated different cultural communities in Zimbabwe and Year 9 students took the role of African farmers in a music and dance performance on the topic of fair trade. Grassroots delivered two fantastic performances and received huge amount of praise, thanks and applause from both students and staff.
