World Cup Poster Competition May – July 2010

The World Cup Poster competition was designed to inspire young people to explore the arts and discuss cultural and global issues. We did this by:

  • looking at art work associated with the World Cup sporting event since its inception
  • discussing circumstances surrounding the hosting countries across the ages
  • analyzing  how each host country had chosen to represent themselves in each events official poster

We then invited all our community to have a go at creating their own “official poster”, either for the South Africa World Cup that took place this year or for an imaginary future event.
